The writing profession chose me a long time ago. In 1999, actually, and I’ve never looked back. Since then I’ve graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a B.A. in technical writing, worked as an editor and writer for Inuvo, Inc., and launched my own content creation firm, Terra Michael Creative.
I’ve worn a lot of hats through out my career, including graphic designer, social media manager, photographer, and brand architect. I’ve contributed work to numerous publications, and learned skills I never planned on, like photography and graphic design.
For me, the best part of being a writer professionally is the breadth of topics I’m allowed to learn. I’ve studied everything from cancer to organic skincare, budgeting to family planning, and so so much more.
That’s the fun thing about words: they allow you to do all kinds of things. For instance, I’ve scripted hundreds of Youtube videos for the brand Earn Spend Live, written an ebook over how to be more productive and organized, created quizzes, reviewed organic health food for multiple companies, and am currently working on my first novel.
Truthfully, I’m a creative at heart, but I love clear, concise writing that fulfills a purpose. That’s what I do for my clients, and that’s what I’d love to help you with too. Unless you want my more creative, out-there work, in which case I’d be happy to oblige. For more on my services, visit here.
It’s an unconventional career, but I love my “work.” Each day feels like an adventure. Somehow I also find time to run around with my two golden retrievers, Gatsby and Artemis, read a ton of books (I review my favorites on my blog!), practice yoga, spend time with my family and friends, and drink copious amounts of water.
